Dave Martin, the owner of Direction Woodworks, has over 35 years of experience in carpentry and woodworking.

One of his first projects, back in 1983, was to re-build his Cal 25, transforming it from a stock boat into an ocean going vessel. He spent the next eight years circumnavigating the globe.

While circumnavigating, Dave worked all over the world, from England to Australia and back, doing various jobs including: carpentry, woodworking, tiling, boat work, home interiors, decks, fiberglassing, scuba diving, electrical installation, plumbing, painting, engine rebuilds and installation, design work and more.

In 2003 the Martins sailed into Round Pond Maine and eventually settled in Bremen where they self designed and built their solar house. Dave opened up Direction Woodworks in July of 2018.
